Postal Service to honor William L. Leonard

CINCINNATI, OH – What were you doing in March 1969? For Mail Handler William Leonard, the answer is easy. He was beginning his 50-year postal career.

Postal officials will honor Leonard at a ceremony on Tuesday, Mar. 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cincinnati Processing and Distribution Center, 4th floor cafeteria, 1623 Dalton Ave., Cincinnati, OH.

Leonard is a long time resident of Cincinnati having graduated from Taft High School, class of 1968.

“William L. Leonard has served as a valued member of the Postal Service team and greatly contributes to the respected tradition of serving the City of Cincinnati and surrounding areas,” said acting Plant Manager Mary Sinkfield Leach.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
