Background:

Windham, Ohio native Richard Mullett will be retiring after 49 combined federal years of service. Mr. Mullett served during the Vietnam War and saved the lives of his fellow soldiers. He was recognized by the United States Army with the Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal, two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his heroic actions. He is a recipient of the Million Mile Award from the Postal Service for driving over one million miles without an accident. The Postal Service will be holding a retirement party for Mr. Mullett on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 to honor his commitment to the organization and serving his country.

The Postal Service does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses; it relies entirely on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
