Background:
In 1968, the cost of a postage stamp was five-cents, Apollo 8 orbited the moon and Jan Potter began her Postal Service career.
On August 28, 2019 at 7:30am the Postal Service will conduct a recognition ceremony for Ms. Potter. In front of family, friends and co-workers, this Columbus resident will be honored for her long-time service and commitment to her job and community.
The Postal Service does not receive tax dollars for operating expenses; it relies entirely on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
