USPS to reopen Mt. Vernon Retail Unit operations

COLUMBUS, OH — Operations will resume at the Mt. Vernon Retail Unit Thursday, September 10, 2020.  Operations were suspended due to the air conditioning unit not working and the necessary repairs have been made. In accordance with OSHA and USPS regulations and to safeguard the health and safety of customers and employees, the Postal Service temporarily relocated operations from the Mt. Vernon Retail Unit, 327 North 20th Street, Columbus, Ohio 43203 to the Columbus Main Post Office, 850 Twin Rivers Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43216.

P.O. BOX customers will be able to resume mail pickup at Mt. Vernon beginning Thursday, September 10, 2020.

The Postal Services apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused however the safety of our employees and customers is our top priority.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations
