Background:

The Salem Post Office, 275 Penn Avenue, Salem, Ohio 44460, will be dedicated in honor of WWII Tuskegee Airman Howard Arthur Tibbs on June 1, 2023, at 1:00 pm.

On December 27, 2022, legislation to designate the Salem Post Office building as the “Howard Arthur Tibbs Post Office” was signed into law by President Biden. The legislation was championed by U.S. Congressmen Bill Johnson.
