Proposed Relocation of Amlin, OH, Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will mail a postcard to the impacted community, announcing a proposed relocation of the Amlin, OH, Post Office located at 6931 Rings Road, Amlin, OH 43002. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Background:

Due to nonrenewal of the lease at the current facility, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within two (2) miles of the facility. The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following:
(a) an existing building, approximately 700 net square feet, with dedicated parking stalls or (b) a vacant land site to lease, approximately 11,000 square feet, in which the Postal Service can bring in a postal-owned modular building.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Amlin, OH, MPO Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
