Proposed Relocation of Lucasville, OH Post Office

What:

The U.S. Postal Service will be mailing a postcard to the impacted community, announcing a proposed relocation of the Lucasville, OH Post Office located at 38 Robert Lucas Rd., Lucasville, OH 45648. The postcard provides information about the public comment period.

Who:

USPS Real Estate Specialist Dawn Moore   

Background:

Due to space constraints at the current facility, the Postal Service is now looking for a new retail location within the 45648 ZIP Code.

The desired size of the new facility needs to be one of the following:
(a) an existing building, approximately 1,100 square feet for retail operations only with parking, or
(b) an existing building, approximately 5,500 square feet for retail and delivery operations, with dedicated parking.

The postal service will consider renovation and expansion of the existing facility as well.

The relocation project will consist of procuring a suitable substitute location, as close as reasonably possible to the existing location. Retail Services will continue at the Post Office until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

We are inviting comments on the proposal and request they be sent to the following address within the next 45 days from delivery of the postcard: United States Postal Service, ATTN: Lucasville, OH MPO Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
