Muskogee, OK, Post Office Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The U.S. Postal Service will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of the new Muskogee, OK Post Office. The event will be conducted in the lobby, and is free and open to the public. Refreshments and a tour will be provided.

Background:

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, to mark the official grand opening of the new Muskogee Post Office serving the 74401, 74402 and 74403 ZIP Codes.

The Muskogee Post Office also serves as the 744 Sectional Center Facility. A destination Sectional Center Facility (SCF) is a Processing and Distribution Center that serves a designated geographical area defined by one or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
