USPS Oklahoma City Hiring for Holiday Season and Beyond

OKLAHOMA — The United States Postal Service is currently hiring motivated individuals to join us in our mission of service in your local community. To assist potential applicants, we are holding a job fair on November 3, from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the location listed below.

Postal officials will be on-site to answer questions about the following available positions: City Carrier Assistant (CCA) and Holiday Clerk Assistant (HCA). These positions offer starting pay from $18.92 - $19.62 per hour, and could be the first step to a long-term rewarding career with USPS.

Available Position Descriptions:
City Carrier Assistant (CCA)
Salary: $18.92 per hour
A CCA delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle in a city area, and provides a critical service to the community by ensuring mail delivery on weekdays, weekends and holidays. CCAs may be eligible for certain benefits including paid leave and health insurance. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy staying active outdoors with occasional customer service interactions. The position requires a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.

Holiday Clerk Assistant (HCA)
Salary: $19.62 per hour
An HCA performs a variety of sales and customer services at a retail window or lobby, which may include selling postal products and services, accepting and delivering packages and mail. HCAs provide sales and customer service support by greeting customers, offering assistance with product selection and use of self-service kiosk, among other duties.

USPS employment requirements include the following:

  • Must be 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. Territory.
  • Must provide recent employment history.
  • Must have a safe driving record (if applying for a driving position).
