YALE, OK — Steven Myers is the new Postmaster of Yale, OK.

Myers started his postal career in Pawnee in 2013. In his 10-year career, he has served in various assignments in Stillwater, Kellyville and Perkins, including Letter Carrier and Supervisor, Customer Services.

As Postmaster, Myers oversees postal operations in Yale, with two rural routes, one city route and seven employees, as well as at the Maramec post office with one additional employee.

In 2021, the United States Postal Service published an ambitious but achievable 10-year strategic plan, Delivering for America. The plan established a path to building a Postal Service that is financially strong and consistently delivers on-time across Oklahoma and America. In the short time since its launch, and under the leadership of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the Postal Service has made great progress on its four key pillars: Investing in its people, modernizing its network, providing service excellence, and creating financial sustainability.

“I am so excited for the future vision of the Postal Service under Postmaster General DeJoy and am eager to take on the challenge,” says Myers. “In my years with the Postal Service, I have seen firsthand the role it plays connecting families, neighbors and our community to the nation. Our Post Offices also serve as a lifeline for small businesses to reach customers no matter where they are,” says Myers.

Myers is married to his wife of 26 years, Shelli. They have two children – Brodie, a senior at Oklahoma State University, and Carmen, a junior at Stillwater High School.
