Wilder Named Cyril Postmaster

Cyril Postmaster Jeffrey Wilder

CYRIL, OK — — New Cyril Postmaster Jeffrey Wilder began learning about delivering for America in 2010 when he started working as a temporary City Carrier in Chickasha, OK.

After serving as a full-time City Carrier; Trainer; Safety Ambassador; Supervisor, Customer Services; and Officer In Charge, Wilder was named Postmaster of Cyril. In his new role, he oversees postal operations for the Cyril Post Office, and neighboring Cement, with a total of five employees.

In 2021, the United States Postal Service published a 10-year strategic plan, Delivering for America. The plan established a path to building a Postal Service that is financially strong and consistently delivers on-time across Oklahoma and America. In the short time since its launch, and under the leadership of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the Postal Service has made great progress on its four key pillars: Investing in its people, modernizing its network, providing service excellence, and creating financial sustainability.

“I have watched the technological advances and improvements in the working environment during my time with the Postal Service,” Wilder says. “As the mail makeup changes, we have to adjust to our customers’ needs.”

In addition to making customers a priority, Wilder believes “Delivering for America” also means a stable and empowered workforce with knowledge and experience.

“We are here for customers in Cyril and Cement and across the nation who receive the letters and packages mailed from our Post Offices,“ he says, adding “650,000  dedicated postal employees make sure we deliver for America.”

Wilder is married with four children and says he enjoys being a father and husband.
