Oklahoma City, OK — Amongst family, friends, colleagues and employees, Marcia Titus (left) was officially sworn in as the 30th Postmaster of Oklahoma City on April 21 at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Acting District Manager Diane Ingland (right) administered the Oath of Office as Titus placed her hand on the Bible held by Jami Goodpaster (center).
As Oklahoma City Postmaster, Titus will oversee delivery and retail operations at a total of 23 stations, branches, and finance units. The Oklahoma City Post Office team is made up of approximately 877 dedicated individuals, serving an estimated population of more than 687,000 people. Oklahoma City operations include a total of 481 city and rural routes combined.
“The Postal Service has given me a fulfilling career over the past 23 years. I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellent service to the citizens of Oklahoma City at every retail counter and in delivery to every address in this community,” said Titus.
Titus, a native of Oregon, is a 23-year postal veteran who began her career in 2000 as a distribution/retail clerk in Pendleton, OR. She later transferred to a Letter Carrier position in Salem, OR, prior to joining the ranks of postal management. She has held multiple managerial assignments of increasing responsibility, including Postmaster positions in Lebanon, OR; Albany, OR; Salem, OR; and, most recently, in Corpus Christi, TX.
