Rural Carrier delivering mail

OKLAHOMA — In 2024, the Postal Service continues to aggressively hire motivated individuals, focused on building a more stable and empowered workforce. A postal job offers employees the ability to work where they live, competitive pay, stability, lifelong benefits and career advancement opportunities throughout the entire agency.

The Oklahoma District is hosting multiple job fairs throughout the month of February to fill immediate vacancies for Rural Carrier Associates. The first two job fairs are scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the post offices listed below. Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process.

Broken Arrow Post Office, 1701 S. Main, Broken Arrow, OK 74012

Fairview Post Office, 115 W. Broadway, Fairview, OK 73737

At $20.38 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. An RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, working when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days. An RCA also sells stamps, supplies, and money orders. An applicant must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.

Those unable to attend a job fair may apply at www.usps.com/careers.
