Take the First Step to a Rewarding Career
OKLAHOMA — Post offices in Oklahoma are holding job fairs this week to fill immediate vacancies for the position of Rural Carrier Associate (RCA). A postal job offers employees the ability to work where they live, competitive pay, stability, lifelong benefits and career advancement opportunities throughout the entire agency.
To assist potential applicants, Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process, as follows:
February 28 - 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Bixby Post Office, 16 S. A Avenue, Bixby, OK 74008
February 29 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Claremore Post Office, 409 W. 9th St., Claremore, OK 74017
At $20.38 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. An RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, working when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days. An RCA also sells stamps, supplies, and money orders. An applicant must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.
Those unable to attend one of the job fairs can apply online at www.usps.com/careers.
