USPS Seeks to Relocate Retail Operations at the Rufe Post Office

Comment Period Commences

RUFE, OK — The U.S. Postal Service is considering the potential relocation of retail operations from the Rufe Post Office located at 100 Main St., Rufe, OK 74755. The Postal Service is considering relocation due to the non-renewal of the lease.

The Postal Service will continue retail services at 301 W 10th St., Wright City, OK  74766 until the new post office is up and running. The Postal Service has identified the 74755 ZIP Code for the search area.

Rufe postal customers are being notified about the potential relocation through a postcard in the mail and will have the opportunity to provide comments regarding the proposal. We are inviting customers to send their comments on the proposal to the following address. Comments must be received by April 22, 2025.

After the comment period, the Postal Service will consider the comments received. Following that consideration, the Postal Service will make a final decision to proceed with, modify, or cancel the proposal.
