USPS Says Skip the Trip – Stay Home, Stay Safe

The U.S. Postal Service cares for its customers and wants to continue to provide convenient services by offering to come to you. Stay home or in your office and process changes of address, order stamps, prepare packages and submit a request for your Letter Carrier to stop by and pick them up.

The Postal Service offers many convenient transactions through its website – usps.com.  Carriers will pick-up Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express from customers as they make their rounds.

The USPS website enables customers to pay for Post Office Box rent, place a hold on mail, process a temporary or permanent Change of Address, and print Passport documents for their use.

“We value our customers and understand that many of them depend on U.S. Postal Service products and services,”  according to Bill Schwartz, Portland District Manager.  “We want them to know they have options and we will continue to support them even if they choose to stay home and stay safe.”

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
