The Postal Service has nearly 2,000 jobs to fill across the Northwest. And to reach that goal, 252 Post Office locations throughout Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington are holding a one day only, multi-state hiring blitz.  

In 1804, the Lewis & Clark Expedition began their journey of discovery. Eventually making their way through the Northwest. Now, the Postal Service is embarking on an historic venture of its own with a concurrent, four-state event on Thursday, April 13, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. PT/Noon – 4 p.m. MT.

The Postal Service provides good pay, a secure career, and a place where you can expand your own horizons with career advancement opportunities.

The Postal Service has a variety of jobs available. But the need is especially urgent for:

  • Letter carriers
  • Clerks
  • Mail handlers

More specific location information is available for Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

No appointment is necessary. All job fairs are free and open to anyone interested in a Postal career.

Postal Service human resources employees will be available to help job fair attendees with benefits, qualifications, and application questions. Laptops will be available on the day of the event for immediate application submission.

Starting pay varies depending on the job. But starting pay for carriers ranges between $19 and $20 per hour paid bi-weekly. Applications are accepted online at www.usps.com/careers.

Applicants must be 18 years old — in some instances, interested candidates can also be 16 with a high school diploma/GED— available to work weekends and holidays, and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation.
