Eric Kerr Heads Warrenton Post Office

Manages USPS Retail and Delivery Services for the Warrenton Community

Warrenton Postmaster, Eric Kerr

Eric Kerr is the newest postmaster at the Warrenton, Oregon Post Office. He began his postal career nine years ago as a part time employee at the Boise, Idaho distribution center in 2014. He has been a carrier, clerk, as well as a finance supervisor and delivery supervisor.

Throughout his career, Kerr has noticed many positive changes within the Postal Service. “Recently I have noticed that we as a whole have put more focus on the employee retention as well as customer satisfaction.” These changes are one of the main pieces of the “Delivering for America” 10-year plan to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence.

The Warrenton Post Office serves six rural routes, has seven carriers, three clerks, one of whom works at the part-time Hammond Post Office location.

Prior to joining the Postal Service Kerr owned his own landscaping company. He decided to hang up his tools to join the more than 644,000 other postal employees, “…after realizing the limitless career opportunities it [Postal Service] has to offer.”

Eric has two adult children living in Idaho. His sister and parents also reside in the Gem State. When he isn’t working, Kerr can be found backpacking or doing anything allowing him the chance to be outdoors.
