January Job Fair Events in Oregon

TThe Postal Service will host a job fair event Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Hood River, OR, Post Office giving attendees a unique look into available postal employment opportunities throughout the community and throughout Oregon.

Subject matter experts will be available at the event to answer questions and to help interested candidates in an on-site application process. The Postal Service is looking to fill a variety of positions, including mail carriers, mail handlers, clerks, CDL drivers and maintenance technicians.

New Postal Service employees enjoy competitive starting pay with a range between $19 and $20 per hour, depending on the position, paid bi-weekly. Benefits include regular pay increases, paid vacation leave, health insurance, and growth opportunities.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Although in some instances, interested candidates can also be 16 with a high school diploma. Applicants must also be available to work weekends and holidays.
