The United States Postal Service will host multiple job fair events throughout Oregon to engage communities in hiring.

“Although anyone can see available positions at usps.gov/careers at any time, these job fairs can offer an on-hands look at employment opportunities. Those who attend will also receive assistance in the application process.”

New Postal Service employees enjoy competitive starting pay with a range between $19 and $20 per hour, depending on the position, paid bi-weekly. Benefits include regular pay increases, paid vacation leave, health insurance, and growth opportunities.

Career employees can earn premium long-term benefits that complement good pay. Some of the benefits include:

  • Multiple health and life insurance choices
  • Pension benefits and a Thrift Savings Plan program, similar to a 401(k)
  • Vacation time and sick leave

USPS is an organization that promotes largely from within, offering career development to help prepare employees achieve their professional goals. Training programs include entry-level functional job-related training, technical hands-on learning, new supervisor training, and management-to-executive level development.

The United States Postal Service is an equal opportunity employer offering a fast-paced, rewarding work environment with competitive compensation packages, on-the-job training, and opportunities for advancement.

For those unable to attend the job fair event can find more information, and apply for available positions, at www.usps.com/careers. Jobs are uploaded every other Tuesday until filled, and postings are updated frequently, so check back often for additional opportunities. Potential applicants can also visit any Post Office location for more information.

Stabilizing our workforce to ensure we consistently service 169 million addresses across the country is one part of the Postal Service’s 10-year Delivering for America plan to achieve financial stability and service excellence.
