Honest, Abe, Some Post Offices Will Be Open on Presidents Day

A different looking Presidents Day for USPS

CENTRAL PA – We hear you. Your business is changing and so is the Postal Service.

In fact, select central PA Post Offices will be open for retail transactions on Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 17, 2020. Customers will be able to purchase stamps and postage, or drop-off outgoing mail.

Traditionally, Post Offices have been closed on Presidents Day. Opening some Post Offices on this non-widely observed holiday will allow customers to conduct their postal business as usual.

Post Offices open for retail transactions on Monday, Feb. 17:

Harrisburg Main Post Office

1425 Crooked Hill Rd., Harrisburg

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lancaster Main Post Office

1400 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lehigh Valley Post Office

17 S. Commerce Way, Allentown

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Scranton Main Post Office

2800 Stafford Ave, Scranton

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be no street delivery on Presidents Day; only delivery of Priority Mail Express.

Except for the Post Offices listed above, all other central PA Post Offices will be closed. To purchase stamps or mail packages, go to usps.com for a list of Self-Service Kiosks and retail outlets that offer postal services.

Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020.

Register for Informed Delivery informeddelivery.usps.com and see your mail before it’s delivered to your mailbox.

The Central PA District serves customers in ZIP Codes beginning with 169 through 188, and 195 & 196.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
