The Postmaster General Hero Award is given to those who perform a heroic act above and beyond the call of duty while on the job. Michael Till was delivering on his route when he came upon an unconscious man lying in the street. He called 911 and when he told the dispatcher it did not appear the man was breathing, he put is cell phone on speaker as the dispatcher instructed him how to perform CPR. After ten sets of chest compressions, the man’s breathing was restored.
