Background:

Melinda “Mindy” Gene Piccotti (1949-2018) was born in Montrose, PA. She was a graduate of Elk Lake High School with the class of 1967. She also graduated from the Tri County Barber Institution of Philadelphia.

Mindy served in the US Air Force. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5642 in Montrose PA, American Legion Riders Club Post #154 in Montrose, PA, and the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion and its Auxiliary in Black Walnut, PA. She helped start Rought Hall Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Pheasants Forever, and many more organizations. She was the Co-Owner of Ringneck Ridge with her husband, John. Mindy was the Founder of Hunts for Healing. Since 2009, she dedicated her life to helping wounded soldiers to create a steppingstone to aid in the transition of these selfless heroes back into their neighborhoods and communities.
