MONROEVILLE, PA — Their postal careers began in different post offices however their routes intersected today with inductions into the prestigious Million Mile Club. The Million Mile Club is part of the Safe Driver Award program created by the National Safey Council highlighting drivers with 1 million miles of driving or 30 accumulated years driven without preventable accidents.

Lisa Stumpf, 32 years, George Getlak, 37 years, Paul Devito, 31 years and John Olsen, 38 years, were presented plaques and jackets by USPS leadership for a combined 138 years of safe driving.

District Manager Eddie Masangcay congratulated and acknowledged their accomplishments. “This award represents our relevancy in the community making safety for our drivers and customers a priority.”

“Times have changed since I began in 1993. There seems to be more distractions for drivers, and it keeps getting more difficult and very important keeping a safe mindset,” said Stumpf.

The Safe Driver Award is the trademark of the expert driver and is recognized as the nation’s highest award for professional safe driving.
