Mt. Oliver Letter Carrier Jamie Stevens and West Sunbury Postmaster Tony Kriley will be awarded the prestigious Postmaster General Hero Award for saving a customer from a dog attack in March. The Postmaster General Heroes program began in 2003. More than 5,600 individuals, known as PMG heroes, have been recognized through the program.
Cynthia Bahneham-Herman, owner of Von Bahneman K9 Training & K9’s for Service who has more than 35 years experience training service dogs for police, EMS, veterans and people with disabilities will provide a presentation to coincide with National Dog Bite Awareness Month. The month-long campaign began on Sunday, June 1. This year’s theme is “Secure Your Dog, Keep Deliveries on Track.” Spread news of the campaign with the hashtag #dogbiteawareness.
