ERIE, PA – The South Erie Post Office located at 3607 Poplar Street, Erie, PA 16508 will be suspended at the close of business on Friday, 10/31/2025.

On 10/31/2025, The Retail and Post Office Box service at the South Erie Post Office will transfer to the Presque Isle Post Office located 3.3 miles away. Customers who currently hold a Post Office Box will be able to receive their mail daily at the Presque Isle Post Office located at 2711 Legion Rd, Erie, PA. 16506 beginning Saturday 11/01/2025.

Customers who wish to obtain Post Office Box service may do so at the Presque Isle Post Office. The Presque Isle Post Office has lobby access for customer convenience. Post Office Boxes are available at his location. If applicable, Post Office Box refunds can be received at the South Erie Post Office.

Retail services are also available at the Presque Isle Post Office. Window service hours are from 09:00am to 06:00pm, Monday through Friday, and 09:00am through 01:0pm on Saturday. Post Office Box lobby hours are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

A timeframe for a return to South Erie Post Office has yet to be determined. We apologize for the inconvenience and plan to reopen the facility once the issues are abated as we continue working with the building’s landlord to resolve the matter.
