ROCHESTER, PA — Letter Carrier Jordan Leonberg was inducted into the National Safety Council Million Mile club today with 32 years of driving excellence.
Pittsburgh Postmaster Dave Trainer said, “While the USPS continues to transform and modernize to meet our customers’ needs, Jordan and his colleagues continue to stay focused and combine safety with service”. Eight team members were also recognized for a combined 90 years of safety excellence.
The Million Mile Club is part of the Safe Driver Award program created by the National Safey Council highlighting drivers with 1 million miles of driving or 30 accumulated years driven without preventable accidents. The Safe Driver Award is the trademark of the expert driver and is recognized as the nation’s highest award for professional safe driving.
Manager, Post Office Operations David Sharick presented the award to Jordan and acknowledged family members in attendance, “What Jordan accomplished is representative of his dedication and service to the community, the USPS brand and most importantly, returning home safely to his family”.
Letter Carrier Sierra Jackson who received a one-year safe driving certificate, said “Jordan is a mentor and provides inspiration to new employees like me. Be being a part of this celebration motivates me to be a future Million Miler”.
