MARIANNA, PA — The Postal Service has proposed to relocate the Marianna, PA Post Office formerly located at 1742 Main Street, Marianna, PA 15345.

A postcard was sent on March 17, 2025, asking for community input on the relocation. The Postal Service has carefully considered the concerns and comments received from the public. The decision has been made to proceed with a new space project at 1784 Main Street, Marianna, PA 15345.

As background, due to uncorrectable severe safety issues at the former location, the Postal Service had to close the former location and search for and identify a new location. The Postal Service anticipates providing the same services at the new location as were previously provided to our customers at the former location, as well as at the current temporary location at the Clarksville Post Office located at 541 Center Street, Clarksville, PA 15322.

Additionally, the Postal Service plans to continue services at the temporary location until the replacement facility is open and operating as a Post Office.

While the Postal Service is sensitive to the impact of this decision on its customers and the Marianna community, the Postal Service properly considered community input, and this decision is consistent with Postal Service objectives. Postal Service operations are not supported by tax dollars. To be self-sustaining, the Postal Service must make decisions that ensure it provides adequate and affordable postal services in a manner that is as efficient and economical as possible.
