Trio Delivers Safely for One Century
ELIZABETHTOWN, PA — Letter Carriers Dennis Stevens, Daniel Hungler and Mychail Mitchell were inducted into the National Safety Council Million Mile club today with a combined 100 years of driving excellence.
Elizabethtown Postmaster Michelle Linde said, “While the USPS continues to transform and modernize to meet our customers’ needs, Dennis, Dan and Mychail, continue to stay focused and combine safety with service”.
Mychail, who is retiring today gave this advice to his fellow drivers, “If you question a driving decision or when in doubt, don’t do it. It is better to be safe than sorry.”
The Million Mile Club is part of the Safe Driver Award program created by the National Safey Council highlighting drivers with 1 million miles of driving or 30 accumulated years driven without preventable accidents. The Safe Driver Award is the trademark of the expert driver and is recognized as the nation’s highest award for professional safe driving.
In addition to the Million Mile awards, twenty-five safety certificates totaling 211 years of safe practices were awarded and a 40-year service certificate and pin was presented to Linde.
