USPS Observes Martin Luther King Jr. Federal Holiday

PUERTO RICO – Postal officials are announcing only Priority Mail Express will be delivered and Post Offices will be closed on Monday, January 20, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday. Normal mail delivery, postal retail operations, and mail collections will resume on Tuesday, January 21.

The schedule for the postal holiday is as follows:

  • All Post Offices will be closed on Monday, January 20.
  • No residential or business deliveries, except for Holiday Premium/Priority Mail Express.

Mail will be collected from blue collection boxes in some high-density, business areas on Monday, Jan 20.

Regular mail delivery, collections, and retail services resume Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Please note:

  • Stamps are available at most grocery, pharmacy, and convenience stores
  • For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.com - print postage online or find the nearest self-service kiosk
  • Applications for available USPS jobs can be filled out at www.usps.com/careers

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
