Como repartidor rural auxiliar, reemplazará a un repartidor rural habitual en sus días libres (principalmente los sábados), en sus vacaciones u otras inasistencias. Las horas de trabajo varían según la oficina y la ruta que le asignen.

Debe estar dispuesto a trabajar fines de semana y algunos feriados, y debe estar disponible para presentarse a trabajar cuando lo llamen. Podrían asignarlo a otras rutas de reparto, lo que aumentará sus horas de trabajo. Podría tener que cargar y descargar bandejas y contenedores de correspondencia o paquetes con un peso de hasta 70 libras.

Requisitos del empleo

The Postal Service has hot openings right now for Rural Carrier Associates in Puerto Rico. This is a non-career position. As an RCA, you replace a regular rural carrier on his/her scheduled day off (primarily Saturday), on vacation or other absences. Work hours vary depending on the office and route to which you are assigned.

You must be willing to work weekends, some holidays and be available for on-call employment. You may be assigned to other carriers' routes, increasing your hours. You may load or unload trays and containers of mail or packages that weigh up to 70 pounds.
