USPS Seeks to Relocate Operations at Atocha Station Post Office

30-day Comment Period Commences

Ponce, Puerto Rico — The U.S. Postal Service is considering relocating the retail services formerly provided at 92 Calle Atocha Ponce, PR 00730 to the current emergency facility at 13 Paseo Atocha Ponce, PR 00730.

The Postal Service is considering relocation and proposing to stay at 13 Paseo Atocha Ponce location for the long-term because the former location is no longer operationally viable.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Postal Service is not conducting a community meeting to explain the relocation process and to solicit the public’s feedback. Instead, the Postal Service is mailing a copy of the information required to be presented at the public meeting to community members served by ZIP Code 00730.  Comments on the proposal are due to the following address no later than May 31.
