PROVIDENCE, RI – This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Newport Post Office will be open to offer you a time saving opportunity. Passport-only services will be available exclusively in Newport!  Whether you’re looking to renew or obtain a new passport, Newport clerks will be available to guide you through the process. Avoid the hassle of waiting in a normal line by taking advantage of this exclusive event!

What:    Please bring the following items to apply for or renew a passport:

• Passport Application.
• Proof of Citizenship (Long Form Certified Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate or Consular Report of Birth Abroad).
• Proof of Identity (Current, Valid Driver’s License, Government ID, Military ID, State ID or Student ID).
• Photo (Passport clerks will be available to take photographs for an additional fee).  
• Passport Book or Card Fee.
• Passport Acceptance Fee.

Young Travelers: For children under age 16, both parents are required to be present to issue a passport to a child.
