Bishopville Post Office Set for Re-Opening on Nov. 26

BISHOPVILLE, SC — The Bishopville Post Office, which was temporally suspended due to arson, is scheduled to open for business at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26.

“The Bishopville community has always done a wonderful job of supporting the Post Office,” said Communications Coordinator Kertina Epps, “We’re excited about doing what we do best – serve our customers.”

As a part of customer appreciation, complimentary snacks will be available for our customers at the post office, located at 451 N. Main St. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed for lunch 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.) and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday.

“Reopening Monday is a positive step forward,” said District Manger Darryl Martin. “We thank our customers for their patience and understanding while we worked to reopen the Post Office in time for the busy holiday season.” “We’ll continue to remain committed to make every reasonable, safe attempt to deliver mail.”

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
