USPS Temporarily Suspends Retail and P.O. Box Operations at the Ulmer Post Office effective March 8

ULMER, SC — Effective March 8, 2024, the Postal Service announced all operations at the Ulmer Post Office, 219 Burtons Ferry Hwy, Ulmer, SC 29849, will be temporarily suspended until further notice due to facility damages.  The Postal Service will provide additional information when regular operations resume.

During this closure, Retail and P.O. Box services will be offered at the following alternate location:

Fairfax Post Office
190 Pickens Ave N
Fairfax, SC 29827

Retail Hours of Operations:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri    8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thu                             8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sat                              8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sun                             Closed

As a reminder, customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) to obtain information, including available alternate Post Office retail locations, or check the Postal Service website, www.usps.com, the Post Office that’s always open.
