The Socastee Post Office is hosting an in-person hiring event for immediate openings in Myrtle Beach and neighboring areas. A postal job provides employees with the opportunity to work close to home, receive competitive pay, enjoy stability, access lifelong benefits, and pursue career advancement opportunities throughout the entire agency.

Postal officials will be onsite at the hiring event to answer questions and assist potential candidates with the application process. Those unable to attend the job fair may apply at www.usps.com/careers.

Positions available: Rural Carrier Associates (RCA) and Assistant Rural Carriers (ACR). Wages for both positions start at $20.38 per hour.

Driving positions require a valid SC driver’s license, and applicants must also demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass a drug screening and a criminal background investigation. In some instances, interested candidates who possess a high school diploma may also be 16 years old. Applicants must also be available to work on weekends and holidays. Additionally, they may be required to use their personally owned vehicle, for which reimbursement is provided at a rate of $0.97 per mile.
