SPARTANBURG, SC — The United States Postal Service is creating stable career opportunities to serve communities across the nation. We are expanding our workforce to meet growing customer needs and to support our mission of delivering reliable, timely, and trusted mail and package services. Currently, we are hosting a special hiring event in Spartanburg and surrounding areas to fill Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) and Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) positions. These positions pay $21.89 per hour, plus some benefits.

USPS employees will be available to answer questions and help job seekers at the special hiring event on Tuesday, May 19, at SC Works, 110 B Commerce St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Job fair hours are from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Positions Available:

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) - At $21.89 per hour, an RCA serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas and is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail. An RCA may also sell stamps, supplies, and money orders. Applicants must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. This position could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.

Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) – At $21.89 per hour, an ARC primarily delivers and collects packages along designated routes in suburban and rural areas. An ARC may provide mail and parcel delivery service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (a weekend and holiday-only position) or provide parcel delivery up to seven (7) days a week.
