ANDOVER, SD — The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily suspended retail and P.O. Box operations at the Andover Post Office. The facility will be closed until repairs, due to weather related damage, can be fully completed.
“We are looking forward to reopening the Andover Post Office as soon as possible, and thank our customers for their patience during this process,” said Groton, SD, Postmaster Mindy Vandervorst.
Retail and P.O. Box services for Andover Post Office customers are now available at:

Groton, SD 57445
Mon – Fri 9:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sat 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Closed Sundays
Lobby and P.O. Box access available 24 Hours
This is an emergency suspension of this office, not a permanent closure. Additional details will be provided as they become available regarding the reopening of this office.
Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s website, www.usps.com, to get the location of other nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
