WAVERLY, TN — The Waverly Post Office and post offices in surrounding communities are open and fully operational for all retail transactions. Carriers will attempt mail delivery in Waverly and surrounding areas affected by recent floods where it is safe to do so. Carriers will avoid downed power lines, flooded streets, and other potentially hazardous situations.

Customers displaced by damage to their home or business are encouraged to either place their mail on hold or temporarily change their address, depending on their circumstances. Hold Mail and Change of Address requests can be accessed online at usps.com.

Currently, mail for customers whose homes and/or mailboxes were destroyed by flooding is being held at the Waverly Post Office, 403 W Main St., 37185, or the local post office serving the address.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses, and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
