Post Office Building Renaming

Employees Honored

Henning, TN Post Office

HENNING, TN — Congressman David Kustoff and the United States Postal Service will host a special ceremony to rename the Henning Post Office building in honor of Paula Croom Robinson and Judy Spray.

The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., at the Henning Post Office, 415 Main St., Henning, TN 38041. The event is open to the community.

On October 18, 2010, Sales and Service Associate Paula Croom Robinson and Rural Carrier Associate Judy Spray were murdered during an attempted robbery at the Henning Post Office. Robinson and Spray family members will join elected officials and postal representatives to remember their lives. A commemorative plaque will be unveiled and later displayed in the postal lobby to mark the occasion.

The building renaming is by an Act of Congress, Public Law 116-232, December 21, 2020.  The original bill was introduced by Congressman Kustoff.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
