Manages USPS Retail & Delivery Services for Clinton Community
CLINTON, TN — Kristine Hamilton has been delivering for America since serving her country in the U.S. Air Force and later as a clerk in Knoxville, TN.
Postmaster Hamilton began her postal career in 1990 as an Automated Mark-up Clerk in Knoxville, TN. She joined the management team in 1995 as a Supervisor and served as Officer-In-Charge in several post offices prior to her appointment as Postmaster in Oliver Springs in 2007.
Hamilton has been Postmaster of the Clinton Post Office since 2008. She has 37 employees, 13,430 deliveries, and a retail unit.
“To me, being postmaster has been the most rewarding position in the Postal Service,” said Hamilton. “I chose to work at USPS because it sounded like a solid career after the Air Force. I have seen firsthand the role the Postal Service plays connecting neighbors and our community to the nation. Our Post Offices also serve as a lifeline for our small businesses to reach customers no matter where they are.”
“In the short time since the launch of our 10-year plan, and under the leadership of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, we are making great progress on its four key pillars: Investing in our people, modernizing our network, providing service excellence, and creating financial sustainability,” says Hamilton.
Hamilton and her husband live in Clinton. They have one son, who is married and resides in Sevierville, TN. She enjoys horseback riding, boating, and outdoor activities such as walking and hiking.
