Opportunities Await: Explore the Buzz as USPS Hosts Hiring Fairs Across Tennessee

Now Hiring

TENNESSEE — On August 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., post offices from all around Tennessee will take part in a one-day "Mega Blitz" Job Fair to find new hires for the USPS Tennessee delivery team.

Potential candidates can drop by one of the more than 400 post offices in the state where USPS staff will be ready to assist with the application process, answer questions, and provide comprehensive information on open positions.

"There has never been a better time to join the Postal Service," declared Tennessee District Manager Omar Coleman. "We are dedicated to our workers, starting with fantastic employment prospects for new hires and ongoing professional growth. We encourage interested candidates—those seeking meaningful careers, not simply another job—to come to one of our job fairs and apply to work with us.”

The open positions—City Carrier Assistant, Rural Carrier Associate, and Assistant Rural Carrier—offer starting salaries ranging from $19.33 to $19.94 per hour and are fantastic chances to gain experience that could help applicants be considered for full-time employment, which would ultimately lead to a lengthy, successful, and fulfilling USPS career. The Postal Service is a fantastic place to work because it offers high salary and benefits, employment security, and possibilities for professional progress.

USPS employment requirements include the following:

  • Must be 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other US Territory.
  • Must provide recent employment history.
  • Must have a safe driving record (if applicable to the position).

Those unable to attend the job fairs can apply online at www.usps.com/careers.
