Background:

The Postmaster General Hero Award, one of the most prestigious honors for postal employees, is given to those who perform a heroic act above and beyond the call of duty while on the job.

Church Hill, TN Rural Carrier Margaret Ward was delivering mail when she happened to look up at a house and saw her 85-year-old customer laying in the driveway waving. Ward went to her and found that she had fallen on the way to her car. Ward stayed with her until the ambulance arrived.
