U.S. Postal Service Announces Temporary Suspension for Mountain City Post Office

MOUNTAIN CITY, TN – The Tennessee District of the U.S. Postal Service is announcing a temporary suspension of retail and P.O. Box operations at the Mountain City Post Office, located at 216 College Street, Mountain City, TN 37683, due to safety issues.

Effective Thursday, September 12, the alternate location for retail service is:

Trade Post Office
164 Highway 67 N
Trade, TN 37691

Retail Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri            7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sat                   7:45 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
Sun                  Closed

P.O. Box service will also be available at the Trade Post Office.

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, P.O. Box customers of the Mountain City Post Office may pick up their P.O. Box mail and left-noticed items at the Trade Post Office during the hours listed above. 

Delivery service is not affected and will continue uninterrupted. Customers with regular street delivery will pick up packages or other accountable items at the Trade Post Office effective Thursday, Sept. 12.

The U.S. Postal Service apologizes for this inconvenience. More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s website, www.usps.com, to get the location of other nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
