CHAPEL HILL, TN — The Chapel Hill Post Office will hold a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. The Post Office moved 1 mile south from 102 N. Horton Parkway to a newly remodeled location at 4680 Nashville Hwy, Chapel Hill, TN 37034. This event is free and open to the public.
There will be no change in Chapel Hill Post Office Box customers’ address or ZIP Code, and the Post Office Box lobby will be accessible 24 hours a day. The public retail hours also remain the same — Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.; 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The new location offers more workspace for operations and employee amenities. USPS does not receive tax dollars for its operations or facilities but covers costs through the revenue received from the sale of its products and services.
“This move made good business sense,” said Tennessee District Manager Omar Coleman. “We are able to continue providing excellent service to the community in a beautiful new location with plenty of customer parking.”
Chapel Hill Mayor Mike Faulkenberry, City Council member Danny Bingham along with Mr. Dean Delk, are scheduled to join Chapel Hill Postmaster Linda Grimes for the ribbon cutting officially opening the new Chapel Hill Post Office location for business. Also scheduled to attend are Marshall County Mayor Mike Keny, along with staff from Senator Bill Hagerty’s and Senator Marsha Blackburn’s offices.
