Talbott Postmaster Lends Helping Hand

Talbott Postmaster Thomas Hopkins will be at the Talbott Post Office retail lobby to offer a helping hand and share holiday shipping deadlines, shipping tips, and explain how customers can do their shipping from the comfort of their living rooms.

In the spirit of the holiday season, Talbott Postmaster Thomas Hopkins will be lending a helping hand in the post office lobby. Hopkins will meet and greet customers and offer needed assistance with Postal products and services. Learn about:

The event will offer local businesses and residents an opportunity to interact with the Postmaster. The holiday season is a great time of the year to show new and existing customers the U.S. Postal Service makes customer satisfaction priority number one.

2024 USPS Holiday Shipping and Mailing Deadlines

The information below covers domestic, international and military shipping destinations to allow for the timely delivery of cards, letters and packages by Dec. 25th.

Items Sent to Addresses in the Contiguous United States (Lower 48 States):

  • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 18
  • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
  • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 21

Items Sent to Addresses in Alaska and Hawaii:

  • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 16
  • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
  • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 20

USPS Is Ready for the Peak Shipping Season

An option this year is USPS Ground Advantage, a service that provides a simple, reliable and affordable way to ship packages with day certain delivery of  2-5 business days based on distance.

In addition to our convenient retail locations, customers can purchase their shipping labels, order Priority Mail packaging and schedule free carrier pick up via the Postal Service’s shipping platform  Click-N-Ship . Customers using the platform will have access to Commercial Shipping Rates that will apply to all domestic package labels — making it easier for customers to ship their packages.

The Postal Service is built for the holidays, serving 167 million addresses across the country and covering every state, city and town. Everyone living in the United States and its territories has access to postal products and services.
