Christopher Lindsay, 10th Postmaster, Sweetwater

SWEETWATER, TN — Christopher Lindsay was officially sworn in as the tenth Postmaster of Sweetwater, Tennessee during an Oath of Office Ceremony on January 7.

With his wife, Meghan, by his side holding the family Bible, Lindsay took an oath to faithfully discharge the duties of the office of which he was about to enter. The oath was administered by USPS Manager, Post Office Operations Stephen Cole.

Lindsay began his Postal career as a Rural Carrier Associate in Clinton, TN, in 2005. He ventured into a management role in 2016 as a Supervisor, Customer Services, in LaFollette and Oak Ridge, TN, then fulfilling the duties of this position at various post offices until 2021. In 2022, Lindsay accepted a role with a higher level of responsibility serving as Officer In Charge in Madisonville and Dayton, TN. Lindsay held the position of Postmaster of Rockford, TN, prior to his assignment as Officer In Charge in Sweetwater, ultimately leading to his selection as its tenth Postmaster.

In his spare time, Lindsay enjoys riding ATVs in the mountains, coaching his son in Little League baseball, rooting for the Tennessee Volunteers, and telling dad jokes. He attends First Apostolic Church of Knoxville, TN, with his family.

As the new Postmaster of Sweetwater, Lindsay looks forward to engaging with the community, supporting his team of 25 employees, and encouraging them to excel at a high level in every aspect. “It all starts with our employees. We have an excellent group that care about our customers and want to provide exceptional service. I am very proud to be a part of the great team in Sweetwater,” said Lindsay.
