U.S. Postal Service Announces Temporary Suspension for Rives Post Office

RIVES, TN — The Tennessee District of the U.S. Postal Service is announcing a temporary suspension of operations at the Rives Post Office, located at 498 S Front St., Rives, TN 38253, due to flooding.

Effective Wednesday, March 5, the alternate location for retail service is:

Union City Post Office
114 W Washington Ave.
Union City, TN 38261

Retail Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri            8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sat                   9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Sun                  Closed

P.O. Box customers of the Rives Post Office may pick up their P.O. Box mail after 10:00 am Monday through Saturday at the Union City Post Office. P.O. Box customers are reminded to bring proper photo identification for mail and package pickups.

Delivery service is not affected and will continue uninterrupted. Customers with regular street delivery will pick up packages or other accountable items at the Union City Post Office effective Wednesday, March 5.

Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s website, www.usps.com, to get the location of other nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
