Houston, TX – The Postal Service continues recovery efforts for its operations daily, and is delivering mail and providing services in our Post Offices in the Houston and surrounding areas, wherever it is safe to do so. For those Post Offices still unable to be occupied, we are currently operating in alternate locations, until repairs can be made.
Customers can be assured that all mail is being processed and delivered as soon as possible, and we urge anyone with questions or concerns to visit our website here for the latest information on mail service: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/weather-updates-residential.htm.
We appreciate our customers’ patience as we continue to work hard to resume normal postal operations in Houston and the surrounding area.
On Monday, Oct. 28, normal operations will resume at the Hamshire Post Office, located at 25142 Highway 124, Hamshire, TX 77622. Hours of operation are: Mon.-Fri. 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.; closed Saturday and Sunday. Customers of the Hamshire P.O. will no longer need to travel to the Winnie Post Office for service.

We are committed to serving our customers and to being there for the residents in the Houston surrounding areas, as recovery from Tropical Storm Imelda continues.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
