Houston, TX – The Postal Service continues to make strides in the recovery efforts of daily operations following the effects of Tropical Storm Imelda. As we continue delivering mail and providing services in our Houston and surrounding area Post Offices, safety remains a top priority. For Post Offices still unable to be occupied, we are currently operating in alternate locations, until repairs are completed.

We have the utmost gratitude for the patience our customers have displayed on our journey to resume normal postal operations in the Greater Houston area.
On Monday, Nov. 4, normal operations will resume at the Porter Post Office, located at 23550 Partners Way, Porter, TX 77365. Hours of operation are: Mon.-Fri. 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while remaining closed on Sunday. Customers of the Porter Post Office will no longer need to conduct business through Mobile Retail Units.

Retail Hours: M-F 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. /Sat. 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Retail Hours: M-F 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. /1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Operations for the Stowell Post Office have been moved to the following alternate location.

Operations for the Nome Post Office have been moved to the following alternate location.
Hours of operation: M-F 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m./1:00PM-4:30 p.m.
We are committed to serving our customers and to being there for the residents in the Houston surrounding areas, as recovery from Tropical Storm Imelda continues.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
